Set my Secret free.

HERE

Every summer my Mother and I talk about the little things like little people in a little town. Talking less and debating more, but hearing out each other nevertheless. Today I have a million and one thing to tell her and, God forbid, all hell will break loose.

I’ll be graduating in a month, after I turn 21 first and nothing tastes of independence more than telling her about the intricacies of certain things in my life. You’d think it’s easy because they say the truth will set you free, but it also shatters one into a million little pieces.

I’m not afraid about her reaction and the multiple coaxing to change my mind thereafter. I’m only very afraid that she will fail to see him the way I do. And the view from up here is breath-taking. Touch-wood.
I hate keeping secrets, especially mine.

  1. I know that feeling, but some secrets are better kept out of reach.

  3. She probably can see it from your angle because she's been there in the past. Moms were once carefree women about to embark on life, too (trust me, I know). Give her a chance and good luck.

  4. Gosh, your writing is crazy good. Superb to say the least. Your right though, the truth wills et you free and the less secrets you have to keep, the less binded you will be. It's not easy, it is difficult and sometimes it may seem not worth it. But once all is said and done and the bridges melt down, it'll be worth it.

  11. Although sometimes it seems like things are better kept as secret, deep inside us we feel a burden that needs to be released out, especially when it involves relationships and people close to us. Hope things will go nice and calm.
